I collaborated with Hennepin County Libraries to install Affirmation Mirrors simultaneously at four library locations. The project was initiated by passionate librarians who wanted to activate the library’s new art rail infrastructure as a way to bring art to the community and create meaningful engagement across different neighborhoods.

The installations took on unique shapes at each location, tailored to the physical layout of the space and the age groups the library served. Two mirror styles were used for the project: Cloud Affirmation Mirrors and the Africa Affirmation Mirror. Writing materials and prompts accompanied each installation, inviting community members to write and share their own affirmations. Over time, the mirrors became Community Affirmation Walls—living installations shaped by the reflections, hopes, and voices of the people who use the library.
